*There were a few other pictures we had taken at the restaurant, but unfortunately they didn't come out as good as this one.
Andrew and I are all dressed up and while we're still waiting on a friend to arrive so we can head out to dinner, I thought I'd take this opportunity to take a couple of pictures of us:
These are two pictures that were taken during my senior year of high school. I was 17 at the time. It might look like I haven't changed a whole lot, but there was an extended period of time, begining early in 1999, when I couldn't even recognize myself. That was the result of my allowing myself to become completely unbalanced, both physically and mentally. It took something like four and a half years for me to fully recover and make the transition back to where I was before the problem started. I'm well beyond it now and perhaps even healthier at this stage of my life.
Yesterday, Andrew and I celebrated the 4th of July at home, in our Rosslyn apartment. We grilled hamburgers and after dinner we watched the fireworks exploding outside of our livingroom windows. Andrew shot the pictures. They were taken using my Kodak DX6490, which isn't the greatest digital camera for capturing fireworks. Thus, the images I present to you are rather noisy.
Here is a picture of a fawn dozing in my friend Mike's childhood sandbox, which is now overgrown:
Awwww. Isn't she sweet?
*And soon Mike will have his own blog to upload images to (hint, hint Andrew).
